Meet The Founder

Some brands begin with a business plan. Motee began with a feeling.

For founder Nima Farmanara, creativity has always been a way to stay connected—to memories, culture, and the stories that shape who we are. Growing up in Tehran and now building Motee from Toronto, he wanted to create something that would allow people around the world to wear a piece of home, no matter where life takes them.

That idea became Motee Collection.

The name "Motee" represents more than fashion. It represents identity, belonging, and the pride of carrying your roots with you. Every design is inspired by Persian culture, everyday memories, meaningful words, and the moments that connect generations. Whether it's a familiar phrase, an iconic landmark, or a design that sparks nostalgia, every piece is created with intention.

Nima believes clothing should do more than look good—it should tell a story. That's why every Motee collection is designed to start conversations, celebrate heritage, and bring people together through shared experiences.

Today, Motee proudly operates from Toronto, Canada, serving customers around the world while staying true to its beginnings in Tehran, Iran. The mission remains simple:

Wear Motee. Wear Something Irooni.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Every order helps keep our culture, stories, and creativity alive—one design at a time.
